PLANET XGS3-24242 Switch Overview
The XGS3-24242 Multilayer Switch is an important Layer 3 multimedia switch that brings high-end security and traffic control to the edge of the network. The XGS3-24242 provides multi-port fiber connectivity, helping to extend the coverage of multi-layer routing services. With IP routing and multicast routing capabilities and a flexible SFP interface, the XGS3-24242 is ideal for telecom, campus and enterprise core layers that require IP Metro Access Network long reach and stability.
Support for 10Gb Ethernet, using full-duplex technology instead of low-speed half-duplex CSMA / CD protocol, is a big leap in Ethernet evolution. 10Gb Ethernet can be star or ring topology. With the application of 10Gb Ethernet technology, XGS3-24242 provides a wide range of bandwidth and powerful processing capabilities. Suitable for metropolitan area network and wide area network.
With XGS3-24242, users can simplify the network structure and reduce the network construction cost. Requires XGS3-2SFP + expansion module for 10Gb connection.
